Experience:
Employment Law: Represented employers in administrative investigations
conducted by the Hawaii Civil Rights Commission and EEOC in connection with employee claims of discriminatory conduct.
Fair Housing Law: Represented condominium associations, property managers and public housing entities in administrative investigations conducted by the Hawaii Civil Rights Commission and HUD.
Medical Malpractice: Represented health care providers in medical malpractice actions before the Medical Claims Conciliation Panel and through trial and/or settlement in circuit and federal court.
Medical Malpractice: Represented nurse who had administered adult dose of morphine to infant for post-surgical pain. Case settled after two days of trial.
Negligence: Represented nursing home in claim by woman injured when freezer door fell on her head which resulted in a defense verdict following trial.
Negligence: Represented store against negligence claim by delivery man who was hit by a fork lift driven by store’s employee; Plaintiff’s last settlement demand was $95,000; jury returned verdict finding Plaintiff 43% comparatively negligent and awarded total damages of $4,562.01.
Negligence: Represented building management in claim by sub-tenant who had been sexually assaulted in her office. Obtained summary judgment.
